Karen is co-founder of the Clozapine Support Group UK and a family advocate for people who rely on clozapine treatment. Drawing on her experience as the mother of a son whose recovery depends on clozapine, she has become a leading voice for patients and families affected by blood-monitoring and prescribing policies. Karen works with clinicians, researchers, policymakers, and users to raise awareness of the unintended consequences of mandatory clozapine discontinuation and promote evidence-based reforms that prioritise patient safety, clinical judgement, and access to treatment. For Karen, this campaign is not a passing interest but a matter of life and death.
