John Gwilliam is a Senior Clinical Lead within the Digital Medicines team at NHS England. A pharmacist with 14 years of NHS experience, John previously worked as a specialist Antimicrobial Pharmacist in two acute NHS trusts in North West England during which time he began to recognise the potential of digital as a means to improve healthcare.

In 2019, he transitioned into digital healthcare, leading the implementation of an Electronic Prescribing and Medicines Administration (EPMA) system within an acute trust, eventually filling the role of Head of Clinical Systems before making the move to NHS England in 2024.
